During the beginning of 2026 took place the research trip to the field in first case of study in Chile. The field work developed tenths of interviews and research meetings to state, scientific and community actors related to the operation of large astronomical observatories in the area of the Atacama Desert, mainly the European Southern Observatory, AURA/NoirLab, and Carnegie Las Campanas Observatory. As part of the program, several visits to the research infrastructures and its socio-ecological environment in the Antofagasta, Atacama and Coquimbo regions were also performed.
